Meet Saskia Havekes

Saskia Havekes founded Grandiflora in 1995 as a small flower shop in Potts Point, Sydney. Today, it is recognised internationally for its distinctive approach to flowers.

Her work is guided by a sculptural sensibility, with an emphasis on composition, scale and restraint. Flowers are not simply arranged, but carefully considered and placed. A sense of drama and clarity has become central to the Grandiflora aesthetic.

This approach has extended beyond the shop, influencing interiors, fashion, editorial work and the way flowers are given and experienced.

Saskia has also published four books, Grandiflora (1999), Grandiflora Arrangements (2007), Grandiflora Celebrations (2011) and Flower Addict (2015), each offering insight into her philosophy and practice.

In 2013, she launched her first fragrances in Paris. The Grandiflora collection has since developed into a body of work that reflects her ongoing exploration of the beauty and complexity of flowers.
